The school highly promotes Prep School flexi boarding experiences for all students of both sites. These can respond to different proposals as sports events, study courses, workshops or integration and socializing activities.

Full and Weekly Boarding begins as from 6th grade of Prep School. However, applications from younger students who may have an interest in the programme, such as residents’ brothers and sisters , are considered.

Parents are always welcome at the school and there are lots of opportunities to come and see your child participate in a range of sports fixtures, concerts, plays and other school events. Full details of all the school events taking place each term are available in our school’s calendar.

Your child’s education is a joint endeavour, and close contact is encouraged between you and St George’s College – in particular between you and your son’s/daughter’s Houseparent and Tutor.

Yes of course Boarders have free time! Nevertheless, the learning process at boarding schools extends beyond the classroom and students can take advantage of this. They decide for themselves which are right for them but are encouraged to engage in activities for their personal enjoyment and interaction with other boarders that leads to better relationships.

Plenty of things! The options include movies, theatre shows, sporting events, barbecues, entertaining outings or just relaxing and enjoying the Boarding House or making use of the School premises.

Many activities are student-designed and led with the purpose of supporting the School’s student-centred culture. Day students are invited by boarders and welcomed to stay with them during weekends. Similarly, boarders are often invited to spend time with day students families.

The dining room serves four healthy meals a day, and students always have a wide variety of options. Vegetarian choices are available at the selfservice counter. Special diet needs should be informed in due advance for a better implementation. Menus are available on a monthly basis.

With technology there are so many ways to stay in close touch with your children! Each family is unique in what communication works best for them, but parents can talk to their child every day, if desired. The best time to connect is at the end of their academic activities.
Boarders are assisted during study periodos, if needed, by Houseparents on Duty who are in close contact with students’ tutors. This allows close monitoring and follow up of students’ performance and needs.

All International Academic staff are also available on a weekly basis to assist boarders with their queries and provide subject support if required.

There are two weekly exeats during the year where boarders go back home. These take place in May and September. Additionally, an extra week is added to the official two week winter holiday schedule. Weekends and long weekends of course.
With students having their own laptop/ipad and official email account and mobile phone, boarders use these for keeping in touch with home. Houseparents will advise of St Georges College policy for the use of mobile phones in the Boarding House as well as the Digital Learning Devices Policy.
Boarders may either return on Sunday evenings or early Monday mornings prior to the start of the academic school day.
