S1 Science students stepped closer to where the magic happens in plants. In the leaves they found many green chloroplasts that use energy from the sun along with carbon dioxide and water to produce glucose and oxygen. Notice these amazing food-making organelles. Students also observed stomata, which are small openings on the underside of the leaf that allow carbon dioxide in and oxygen out.
