Book Week this year had Poetry as its main theme. We kicked off Book Week as Spanish teachers surprised us all with a poem of Liliana Cinetto, “Problemas en el Ropero” and English teachers creatively performed “Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf”, by Roald Dahl. Every morning assembly was a little show of what students had learnt in class. But that was not all: some year groups shared their poems and rhymes with other students, teachers moved from class to class to read too and we all discovered the sweetness and magic of poetry. The great finale was a whole school community “Poetry Festival”, where we were delighted with poems, rhymes, raps, songs and music on the school’s lawns on an incredible Autumn afternoon. What a fantastic week!
